Lanner today launched the NCA-5550, a high performance 1U rackmount network platform powered by Intel® Xeon® 6 SP Processor with P-cores and E-cores.
The introduction of the NCA-5550 aims to satisfy network service providers’ demand for high-performing and robust appliances that are optimized for not only cloud-native, hyperscale and parallel tasks such as those found in network/edge applications, but also compute-intensive workloads such as artificial intelligence and HPC applications.
With its support for Intel® QuickAssist Technology (by SKU) and up to 512GB of DDR5 system memory at 6400MT/s, the NCA-5550 greatly maximizes packet processing efficiency for virtual network functions, cryptography acceleration (for deep packet inspection), NGFW and UTM/IPS/IDS applications.
For optimal networking services, the NCA-5550 comes with either four or two NIC module slots, making the NCA-5550 the perfect network appliance for optimizing network traffic management and for enhancing virtualized network security.
Other outstanding features include 2x GbE RJ45 Ethernet ports, 1x RJ45 console port, 2x USB 3.0, 1x mini display port, support for 1x U.2 NVMe, 1x onboard M.2 2280 NVMe, support for 1x 3/4”PCIe card (By SKU), 5x smart fans, 1200W CRPS AC PSU and TPM 2.0
All in all, the NCA-5550 delivers advantages that allow data centers to choose between P-core or E-core processors based on the specific needs of their workloads, making it a flexible platform capable of scaling performance and power consumption across a broad spectrum of server deployments.
