From 22 to 24 November, 2022, Lanner collaborates with ECI Networks (booth #401) to join the Bell Canada Network & Technology Services Leadership Conference. At this event, Lanner reveals its hyper-converged, TOR P4 programmable switch integrated MEC server that consolidates enterprise private network services at 5G Edge Cloud.

The availability of 5G in 2022 presents both opportunities and challenges for the communication service providers, as moving network services to 5G edge networks requires high volume of investments in infrastructures. New disruptive technologies at virtualized edge have reduced a significant the total cost of ownership while increased the service agility and interoperability.

Lanner provides the hyper-converged MEC server that enables cloud computing capability at the edge, supporting flexible and rapid deployment of new applications and services through open architecture and multi-vendor compatibility. Based on the recent filed testing with Bell Canada, the virtualized MEC server will reduce the total cost of ownership by 89%, saving 67% power consumption and 75% of the space for data center and.

Lanner’s HTCA-6600 is a 6U rackmount carrier-grade MEC server. HTCA-6600 aggregates up to twelve 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and two high-speed P4-programmable Tofino switching ASICs, supporting redundant 3.2TB switching capability. The integration of protocol-independent switching capability by Tofino™ and high-performance Intel Scalable Xeon processor will unleash the true potential of network function virtualization in edge cloud infrastructure. The HTCA-6600 hyper-converged server assists service providers in accelerating the time-to-market of their 5G edge solutions in next-gen telecom infrastructure.
