Lanner today announced the launch of the ECA-6040, a powerful 2U short-chassis DU/CU and AI server appliance for 5G RAN virtualization and real-time inferencing/training at the 5G edge.

Featuring front-access I/O ports, a paint-free design, TPM 2.0 hardware security and IPMI remote management, the ECA-6040 is powered by the 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, offering Intel QAT, Intel vRAN Boost and up to 64 cores of computing prowness for supercharged virtualization performance and improved power efficiency.

The ECA-6040 represents a scalable, high-performance platform for telecom operators aiming to build and deploy open, efficient and secure 5G radio access networks; this platform supports up to 1024GB DDR5 system memory, 1x OCP 3.0 slot, 4x PCIe expansion slots that support multiple NVIDIA GPU cards including 2x FH3/4L PCIe*16 slots and 2x low profile PCIe*8 slots, making available 2x NVIDIA L40S and 2x L4 GPUs.

Other outstanding features include 4x 2.5” HDD/SSD trays and dual M.2 onboard slots. And for ensuring 24/7/365 high-availability, the ECA-60400 features 1600W AC redundant PSUs and 6x swappable smart fans for optimal thermal control.
