Lanner is demonstrating it´s compact, fanless embedded PC’s LEC-2580P with integrated pluggable Intel Movidius accelerator engine to create a reliable hardware platform for developers to deploy a robust deep learning vision solution for intelligent surveillance, traffic management, access control, retail and beyond.

The Upgrade Accelerates the Deployment of High-End Network Security, Content Delivery and Virtualization

To meet the demanding workloads of network computing and data processing at the edge of the network and cloud datacenter, Lanner will adopt the server-based, 2nd generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Family Processors on Lanner’s flagship network appliances, including NCA-6210NCA-5710NCA-5520 and FX-3230. Featuring improved turbo performance, integrated security and unprecedented memory bandwidth, the upgrades will empower Lanner network appliances to perform today’s advanced network computing applications, including enterprise network security, intelligent video analytics, low latency communications and visual content delivery.

As networking technology advances, Cyber threats have also evolved in multiple forms to take advantage of the vulnerability of connectivity for companies of all sizes. In the past, malicious cyber attacks were solely targeted onto global, large-scale corporations and government bodies. However, the attacks have spread to small and medium size companies, indicating that conventional cyber-security measures have been proved inadequate to mitigate today’s evolved cyber threats.

Today sees the release of Lanner’s NCS2-MINIPCIE02, a PTCRB-certified Wi-Fi/3G/4G/LTE NIC module ideal for operators and device manufacturers located in regions where PTCRB interoperability/compatibility (cat-3 & cat-6) is a requirement.

Industrial Control System (ICS) security has become more challenging than ever as information technology (IT)/operational technology (OT) convergence has emerged as the new standard for industrial cyber security, adding new levels of challenges.
