Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support Supply Chain Manager by creating and managing purchase order and inventory programs to meet lead time and schedule expectations
  • Negotiate with diverse suppliers for optimized material cost for customer’s RFQ
  • Communicate with vendors/suppliers on a weekly basis on deliveries
  • Support with other departments (Sales, PM, Accounting, Warehouse, RMA ..etc) on RFQ, payment, inventory , shipment, and RTV issues
  • Review inventory level, sales forecast and safety stock quantities to match company’s continuous growth
  • Responsible for planning and purchasing finished goods and raw material from local vendors and HQ
  • Coordinate all activities related to procurement of materials from forecast to delivery
  • Monitor and manage supplier relationships and conduct on-going supplier analysis.
  • Ensure that all material data elements in SAP are accurate for successful production
  • Execute the build plan by issuing PO in SAP and with strong business senses to identify gaps and work closely with suppliers and cross functional team members to resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate the Engineering Change Orders as requested by customer and provides necessary inputs to purchasing, production, and engineering for successful and timely implementation of changes.
  • Create and maintain standard costs and regular reports on Open PO, Pending Issues, Internal Audit and RFQ updated status weekly
  • Escalate any material and/or capacity/ customer information related issues to respective department managers to ensure 98% OTD.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • 1-5 years of related purchasing/planning experience in CM environment
  • Ability to read and speak Mandarin Chinese fluently
  • Ability to solve problems and answer questions with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized with ability to balance multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, with responsibility and accountability for work product
  • Present in a professional manner, be detail-oriented, and well organized
  • Familiar with Excel, Pivot tables, V-look up and basic formulas, Power Point and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of purchasing and material modules in SAP ERP System

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and 1-5 years of related purchasing/planning experience in CM environment

Compensation: 

  • $50,000-$60,000 – depending on experience, education, and certifications
