The trend of smart and green buildings is currently one of the most discussed subjects in architecture fields. In fact, residential and commercial buildings in urban areas are found with enormous consumptions of utility. Therefore, smart energy and meter measurement are needed in order to monitor and control energy usages in urban buildings. In addition, certain degree of automation may be beneficial.

Intel®'s Bay Trail SoC is known for its significantly improved computing performance and greatly optimized power efficiency.

Lanner’s Bay Trail powered embedded box PCs, namely the LEC-7331, the LEC-2430, the LEC-2530 and the LEC-7230L, are designed for enterprise-wide deployment in application-specific environments, offering stability, longevity, scalability, high-availability and the perfect balance between size, cost, performance and power consumption.

Lanner’s zero-noise network appliances are compact desktop gateways integrating fanless design and low power CPU for entry-level edge security including firewall, UTM, VPN, multi-service, SDN-based CPE and WAN optimization in SOHO and SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) environments. Our compact appliances are engineered with Intel x86 or RISC architectures to deliver the required performance while lowering power consumption, resulting in high cost-effectiveness. All three of NCA-1010, FW-7525 and MR-328 provide mini-PCIe and SATA/mSATA interfaces to provide wireless connectivity, data storage, or other expansion options. Due to its fanless nature, these gateways are noise-free, ideal in entry-level edge security settings.

Industrial box PCs and software-based thin-client computing have now become ubiquitous in production line automation. Both can be customized and tailored for almost all industrial automation applications found at processing plants and manufacturing factories.

While most have yet to grasp the concept of Industry 4.0, Lanner has long completed its Industry 4.0 product roadmap and is now introducing its intelligent manufacturing solutions for MES, machine automation and vision inspection, enabling early adoption and system testing for Lanner’s strategic partners in preparation for developing smart manufacturing controllers and for realizing the implementation of smart factories

By taking space limitations into considerations, Lanner has developed several network appliance models with short-depth design, only within 320mm(12”). The short-depth physical dimension allows these appliances to be easily installed and deployed in small cabinets, limited communication rack spaces or even in small-and-medium enterprise environments. Despite its compact size, these models feature high-throughput, extreme performances and high-port density for network bandwidth, virtualization capability and high port counts, ideal for telecommunications, SDN and virtualization applications.

With the trend of automation, the demand for efficient power equipments is increasing by multiples. Communication management is one of the main concerns of automation as it often attracts cyber threats. To enhance communication and cyber security in automation, Lanner introduces the industrial-grade, rackmount Box PC LEC-3231, designed for power substation deployment. The rugged, fanless box PC is driven by processor choices of Intel Celeron 847E, Core i3-3217UE or Core i7-3517UE, depending on the SKU selected, and also supports up to 10 isolated COM ports, 8 magnetic isolated LAN ports, and redundant power supplies. To function as a safe and secured platform, LEC-3231 is compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 for the energy sector.
