Lanner today announced the release of the NCA-5250, a powerful 1U 19” rackmount network appliance designed to meet the demanding requirements of next-generation network security, cloud computing and data center applications. This appliance integrates the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra 200S Series processors (codenamed Arrow Lake-S) and Intel® W880 chipset, delivering enhanced processing performance, energy efficiency and scalability for modern network workloads.

The NCA-5250 is built with a single LGA1851 socket supporting Intel® Core™ Ultra 200S processors and up to 192GB of DDR5 5600 MT/s ECC or non-ECC UDIMM/CUDIMM memory; such combination delivers exceptional computing power for applications such as next-generation firewall (NGFW), unified threat management (UTM), SD-WAN and network visibility.

For connectivity, the NCA-5250 features a comprehensive mix of high-speed interfaces, including 2x 2.5GbE RJ45 ports, 8x GbE RJ45 ports, 4x 10G SFP+ ports, 2x NIC module slots supporting additional networking flexibility and 4x pairs of Gen3SE bypass for high availability and reliability. These configurations together make the NCA-5250 ideal for deployment in network traffic management, SDN/NFV infrastructure and edge data centers.

To ensure continuous operation in critical environments, the NCA-5250 comes equipped with 450W 1+1 ATX AC redundant PSUs (with DC power input as an option) and four smart cooling fans for efficient thermal management. The platform’s watchdog timer, optional TPM 2.0 and redundant design ensure maximum uptime and security in mission-critical applications.

Furthermore, the NCA-5250’s comprehensive I/O and storage options include 2x USB 3.0 ports, 1x RJ45 console port, 1x OPMA slot, 1x M.2 2280 NVMe slot and 2x 2.5” internal storage bays;

the 16x2 character LCM display with keypad controls offers easy monitoring and management in rackmount deployments.

Last but not least, the NCA-5250 operates in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C and humidity levels up to 90%, all within a compact 438 x 580 x 44mm chassis. Weighing only 9kg, it delivers robust performance in a space-efficient 1U form factor.
