N2S-MDM201A & N2S-MFM101A: Smart NICs With Support For The NVIDIA® ConnectX®-7 200G/400G Adapter Cards - Lanner Electronics | Network Appliance | uCPE SD-WAN| MEC Server | Intelligent Edge Appliance

Lanner today introduced the N2S-MDM201A and the N2S-MFM101A, two smart NICs with support for the NVIDIA® ConnectX®-7 200G and 400G adapter cards.

Both smart NIC modules are designed to accelerate network workloads via their built-in DPUs and accelerators, hardware security and Programmable FPGA, providing hardware offloads for software-defined networking, security and management workloads so that network performance can be optimized, which in term enables service providers to efficiently build and operate virtualized, containerized and bare-metal infrastructures at a massive scale.

According to NVIDIA, “The NVIDIA® ConnectX®-7 SmartNIC is optimized to deliver accelerated networking for modern cloud, artificial intelligence, and traditional enterprise workloads. ConnectX-7 provides a broad set of software-defined, hardware accelerated networking, storage, and security capabilities which enable organizations to modernize and secure their IT infrastructures.”

Lanner, one of the leaders in AI-powered network security, aims to provide smart NIC and NIC accelerators that redefine defense capabilities. These hardware solutions enable critical tasks such as NGINX offloading, SSL, DDoS, DPI handling and scale IPSec for SASE, making available computing performance that facilitates SASE and firewall operations on module.

Also according to NVIDIA, “ConnectX-7 empowers agile and high-performance solutions from edge to core data centers to clouds, all while enhancing network security and reducing the total cost of ownership.”

All in all, the N2S-MDM201A and the N2S-MFM101A facilitate solutions for cloud, hyperscale and enterprise networking, enabling accelerated software-defined networking, Edge-to-Core security, enhanced storage performance and accurate precision timing.
